Live Well Idaho Falls is a new series brought to the community by Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Mountain View Hospital and  The City of Idaho Falls. Each month, on the second Thursday, a different topic is presented. Please share this information with your staff and patients.

March's topic, Back Pain - How Can I Avoid Surgery—presented by Shane Mangrum, MD, Eastern Idaho Spine Center—will discuss non-surgical treatment options, such as injections, "nerve burning," and exercise to reduce pain. Dr. Mangrum will also discuss alternative treatments including acupuncture and breathing exercises. He'll address preventative care and the types and causes of common back pain.
