EIRMC is located at the eastern end of the Snake River plain. The area is high desert and mountain terrain, with wonderful access to the outdoors. We have Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in our backyard, world class trout fishing, kayaking, white water rafting, hiking and excellent skiing - Alpine, Nordic and Backcountry.
Idaho Falls is a town of a little over 50,000, with a community college and extensions of both Idaho State University and the University of Idaho located in University Place. The main campus of ISU is a little south of us, in Pocatello, and BYU-Idaho is a little north, in Rexburg. We have an active Arts Council, which brings a number of performances to town every year, the Idaho Falls Symphony and the Eastern Idaho Jazz Society. The Museum of Idaho hosts a number of traveling exhibits each year. There is a greenbelt along the Snake River, and a Farmer's Market from April to October. And while we're not Portland, yes, we have coffee shops, yoga and Tai Chi.
