EIRMC's Mountain Division welcomes Evan Ray as president
Idaho Falls, ID – Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) and its parent network, HCA Healthcare, announced the appointment of Evan Ray as the new president of an 11-hospital network that includes the 250-bed facility.
Effective March 18, Ray will preside over HCA Healthcare‘s Mountain Division, which encompasses Alaska Regional Hospital and its sister facilities in Idaho and Utah. In all, the Mountain Division is comprised of over 100 sites of care that serve roughly 1.5 million annual patient interactions in three states. The division was recently named one of the nation’s 15 Top Health Systems™ by PINC AI™ and Fortune, and is one of 15 divisions across HCA Healthcare, a leading national provider of healthcare services.
“It’s an exciting time to continue my career in the Mountain Division and to serve some of the fastest-growing communities in our nation,” Ray said. “I look forward to working with our 9,000 Mountain Division colleagues to bring the quality of our care to more Alaskans, Idahoans and Utahns.”
Ray most recently served as the executive vice president and chief administrative officer of HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division. In that role, he was responsible for multiple hospitals within Houston and South Texas as well as a number of outpatient care sites and service lines. During Ray’s five years there, the Gulf Coast Division experienced substantial growth by advancing capabilities and improving access. Prior to his time in the Gulf Coast Division, Ray served as a healthcare executive in Alabama, Iowa and South Carolina.
Ray received a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham after completing his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University. He and his wife of 18 years, Christine, have two daughters.
Ray succeeds Greg Angle, who announced his retirement earlier this year after serving as Mountain Division president for the past 10 years.
