Introduction to Plant-based Cooking and Meal Planning

Learn the importance of eating whole foods and avoiding processed foods for disease prevention and improved health. We’ll discuss the health benefits of increasing more plant foods and recommended servings, and share tips for weight management, developing sustainable habits, and meal planning.

A well-balanced lunch is important. Learn how to plan for the work week to avoid fast food, unhealthy cafeteria choices, and high calorie snacking. We’ll show calories, carbohydrates and sodium content of common fast food and restaurant choices. Gain tips for brown-bagging it, too!
