Test results have come back negative for a patient who was being treated at EIRMC for possible fungal meningitis related to contaminated injectable steroids sold by New England Compounding Center.

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Updates on Fungal Meningitis

The Idaho Dept of Health and Welfare released a statement noting 9 additional facilities that have received drugs from the New England Compounding Center and has urged them to contact their patients. Fungal meningitis is not contagious and can only affect those who have possibly been injected with the tainted drugs. To date, no patients in Idaho Falls have tested positive.
