Matt Gaver is originally from Southern Idaho. He obtained an associate's degree in sociology from the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) and a bachelor in finance from Idaho State University. Upon graduation, Matt moved to Salt Lake City, where he conducted financial analytics for four IASIS hospitals in the Utah market. For five years, Matt filled various positions in hospital settings ranging from assistant business office director and controller to a more operational role as product line director over surgical services. He also completed his master's degree in business administration in 2008.
For the past six years, Matt has served as the assistant controller for HCA Mountain Division, which operates 11 hospitals in Utah, Idaho and Alaska. In that position, he played a key role in planning and opening the Lone Peak Hospital in Draper and the acquisition of Cache Valley Hospital in Logan.
After a successful 11 year career in the healthcare industry, Matt was recently invited to participate in the HCA Executive Development Program. It is designed to recognize high-quality talent within the organization and develop them into future healthcare executives and leaders. As a result of his acceptance into the program, Matt transferred to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Centers. Matt will have operational responsibility for Laboratory Services, Pharmacy Services, Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Food & Nutrition Services, and Therapy Services. His responsibilities will also include assisting the CFO in managing staffing/productivity and assisting the CEO and COO in business development and physician recruitment.
Matt is extremely excited to get back to Idaho, the state he calls "home." He is a dedicated family man who thinks the world of his beautiful wife, three-year-old son and eight-month-old daughter. He is a avid outdoors man who loves camping, hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains. Matt and his wife also enjoy taking road trips on their motorcycle.
